How does Christianity and religion play into this?

Share International has publicly declared that, “Maitreya, the World Teacher” is the Christ, and that he is currently in an open mission to save the earth. In fact, their commercials have aired on CNN. There is a picture of Maitreya visiting a town in Nairobi where he was called, “Jesus of Nazareth” by a crowd of 6,000 worshippers. Maitreya promises to bring about an age of world peace and fullness for every nation. But Jesus predicted this in the bible:

“... see to it that no one misleads you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will mislead many (Matthew 24:4-5, New American Standard Bible).

For the peace promise to be fulfilled, an important task is to abolish all religions. Christianity and Judaism are the foremost objectives enumerated:

“1. The Reorganisation [sic] of the World Religions (a. To make way for the World Religion, universal religion)…
2. The Gradual Dissolution of Orthodox Judaism” (Bailey 551).

This is not a harmless checklist for change. Constance Cumbey writes, “… the conspiracy was to involve ‘a skeptical and destructive criticism of personal-immortality religions’” (123). The rhetoric of the highest initiates has been anti-Semitic. Alice Bailey’s husband, Foster Bailey wrote a book called, Running God’s Plan where on pp. 14-15, he alludes that Adolf Hitler was a New Age disciple. He is quoted in the footnotes of Cumbey’s book:

“… by uniting the peoples living in the Rhine River valley using that valley as a binding factor. It was an attempt by a disciple but did not work. Now another attempt is in full swing” (57).

Adolf Hitler wanted the Rhine River to unify Europe and spread the Nazi empire. As unbelievable as it may sound, one can draw a strong correlation between The New Age Movement and Nazism. Now to this same venture, much has already been done to undermine and discredit Christianity. Cumbey goes on to cite a May-June 1977 edition of The Beacon, an organ of Lucis Publishing Company, where H.G. Wells, who was a major proponent for New Age is praised as a forerunner where the author of the article writes, “Few did more to incite revolt against Christian dogma or against the accepted codes of behavior” (124). Indeed, every opportunity to scoff at the validity of the bible has been taken; mocking Christianity has caught on to be a very ordinary, if not celebrated thing to do in our time. ‘The Plan’ is working. Let me give you two examples of how much it is working…

Earlier this year, I attended a workshop stage performance of a group that is legend in urban theater. In nearly every skit were sly remarks attacking faith and tabloid-style dramatizations of the Christian; at nearly every turn they wielded their main subject matter using Christianity as a scapegoat to rile up the crowd. I was stunned at how one-sided the material was. I waited in vain for their performance to balance out the hate with something, anything truthful, to what Christianity did do for people in dire straits. I have to briefly digress here to speak candidly and personally now: All it takes is an ounce of compassion to understand the sentiment. When Jesus was arrested, he was smashed in his face, he was lied about, spat on, gored, stabbed and repeatedly humiliated- they wiped the floor with him. But a bloodied Jesus might as well have been standing at the center of that stage, while this group whirled around him dancing and singing. I heard many behind me thunder with cheers. It was a fall-down, despicable display of thanklessness and it breaks my heart just to write about it again. It is a disgrace that I am the only one who is offended. God is more than just a concept in your mind or else He’s not God. It’s about a loving high regard.

The second example is the documentary, Zeitgeist. Peter Joseph wrote, directed and produced Zeitgeist which received much acclaim. Zeitgeist claimed that the story of Jesus of Nazareth was passed down from preceding pagan deities. The summation being that Jesus was a fraud. In a radio interview, Joseph stated to a caller, “YOU are God.” thus, affirming a shared view with the New Age Movement. In the bibliography of his documentary are the names, H.P. Blavatsky, Alice Bailey and other noted theosophists and New Agers. Incidentally, Zeitgeist has been debunked repeatedly and mercilessly with well-researched documentation disproving ALL of its claims. The histories of pagan deities such as Horus, Dionysus and Krishna clearly do not include a virgin birth, 12 disciples and a resurrection, etc., as claimed by the documentary. Jesus Christ is the genuine article.

But your average Joe, so-called “positive thinker” who reads Wayne Dyer and watches Eckhart Tolle on Oprah doesn’t know any of this. Your average female, so-called “spiritual free thinker” doesn’t understand that watching The Secret to learn how to think is participating in demonic affiliation. Some will find out and they will run from that mess. Others won’t care either way because what matters to them is that they feel good right now. It’s socially acceptable to say, “Do whatever you want to do,” and “Believe whatever you want.” But it’s too embarrassing to say, “Jesus is Lord.”

In the bible, the Book of Revelations describes the end times as marked by a man who will unite the world into a one-world government for peace. This is the Anti-Christ. He will deceive many with signs and wonders, and a system will be set up where no one will be able to buy and sell without confirming their worship of him as God. Well, it’s interesting to note that the New Age Movement has proposed an end to the cash monetary system. To be a part of the system to buy and sell you must take the mark of this man. In his book, Reflections on the Christ, David Spangler, a major founding figure to modern New Age, writes, “Lucifer comes to give to us the final gift of wholeness. If we accept it, then he is free and we are free. That is the Luciferic initiation. It is one that many people now, and in the days ahead, will be facing, for it is an initiation into the New Age” (45).

This is what the bible says:

“Then another angel, a third one, followed them, saying with a loud voice, ‘If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand, he also will drink the wine of the wrath of God, which is mixed in full strength in the cup of His anger; and he will be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb.” (Revelations 14:9-10, New American Standard Bible).

The bible tells us that it is the Jew and the Christian that will come under the worst persecution from the Anti-Christ. But Jesus Christ will then return in glory much to the inescapable terror of those who took the mark. Judgment will come. But those who believed in Jesus will be saved. EVERYONE should know how Jesus is supposed to return. There should be no confusion! Here is Jesus in his own words:

“And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the SON OF MAN COMING ON THE CLOUDS OF THE SKY, with power and great glory. And He will send forth His angels with A GREAT TRUMPET and THEY WILL GATHER TOGETHER His elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other.” (Matthew 24:30-31, New American Standard bible).

You must understand that Jesus is not going to return via a limousine or out of thin air at your church. It must be understood that a man who is not in Christ Jesus is fooling himself, if he believes that he is going to withstand taking the mark of the beast all by himself. If that man can’t even keep his peace amidst peer pressure, glares and threats, then how in the world is he going to overcome the immense social persecution by everyone who took the mark of the beast? The Spirit will keep us, but some Christians are still saying yes to the things that kept them in bondage.

I will conclude with this. In our day and age, everyone has a convenient idea of God that suits them: a non-judgmental, neutral God who smiles dumbly at the ugly things they do in secret, while they tell themselves what good and noble people they are. If He is a just God, then how can He not be infuriated by injustice? These same people call themselves spiritual. There are many who call themselves spiritual who can't even stop themselves from enjoying other people’s pain or from sleeping around. It should be obvious that these backward ideas can be traced to the New Age mindset, which I have shown you to be Luciferian. So I hope that my findings will be effective in creating an awareness of the very subtle duplicity of the New Age Movement; at the very least, to whet the curiosity of the reader into doing some investigation of his own. In the light of this work, one cannot avoid examining what their true relationship with God is. God does exist, but He is not politically correct, nor is He multiple choice- He is God with a just preference. He is God of the Jews and of the New Testament. If this work should inspire the reader to think more deeply about their life and their salvation, then I rejoice, and all the praise and glory is due to the Lord Jesus Christ.

What is the origin of the New Age Movement?

The origin of the New Age Movement can be traced back to the founding of the Theosophical Society in 1875 by co-founder, Helena Petrovna Blavatsky. One way to make the connection between the two is with this statement: “A basic teaching of this organization was that all world religions had ‘common truths’ that transcended potential differences” (Cumbey 44). Madam Blavatsky is a highly respected figure who wrote books through what is called automatic writing or channeling, which is dictation through spirits. This may strike many as a droll absurdity, but it is actually a genuine phenomenon among them. Alice Bailey, who was second to Blavatsky in stature, wrote a voluminous body of work, and detailed ‘The Plan’ which ultimately is to the building of a New World Order. In Alice Bailey’s book, The Externalisation of the Hierarchy, she explains that our world is in, what she calls, a Period of Transition. We are in the Piscean Age which was heralded by Jesus- who New Age regards as a lower Master- and we are headed for the Aquarian Age to be heralded by a new Master of Wisdom. She discusses the importance of establishing esoteric schools to train psychics and mediums in technique to properly serve what she calls ‘the advanced souls on the other side.’ She writes, “The highest expression of this type of activity was the giving of his body by the disciple Jesus for the use of the Christ” (Bailey 10). You see, they’ve been told by these so-called “Masters of Wisdom”, who they channel, that Christ is an office and Jesus inhabited that office for a time. New Age teaches that there have been many Christs and that all of us can receive the Christ consciousness! But the authoritative bible contradicts that:

“Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist that denieth the Father and the Son” (1 John 2:22, King James Bible).

Alice Bailey dismisses religion as emotional, but that it is moving to the mental levels of consciousness. This is compatible with their plans to bring about a receptivity “… which will determine the new culture; together and as a group they can bring these ideas and ideals into the consciousness of the masses, so that schools of thought and world religions can be blended into one, and the new civilisation [sic] can emerge” (Bailey 30). What she is saying here is that new ways of thought, which can include the scientific as well, will be subtly introduced to lull people into their way of thinking. Many people will be charmed by what they say and the bible clearly predicts this:

“But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons” (1 Timothy 4:1, New American Standard Bible).

‘The Plan’ employs more than just an appeal to intellectual vanity; they have a very real, very formidable spiritual presence that enables them. Madam Blavatsky, previously mentioned, writes in her book, The Secret Doctrine (Volume 2):

“It is but natural – even from the dead-letter standpoint – to view Satan, the Serpent of Genesis, as the real creator and benefactor, the Father of Spiritual mankind. For it is he who was the ‘Harbinger of Light,’ bright radiant Lucifer, who opened the eyes of the automaton created by Jehovah, as alleged; and he who was the first to whisper: ‘in the day ye eat thereof ye shall be as Elohim, knowing good and evil’- can only be regarded in the light of a Saviour [sic]. An ‘adversary’ to Jehovah the ‘personating spirit,’ he still remains in esoteric truth the ever-loving ‘Messenger’ (the angel), the Seraphim and Cherubim who both knew well, and loved still more, and who conferred on us spiritual, instead of physical immortality…” (243).

Clearly, Madam Blavatsky is giving worship to Lucifer who is the same fallen rebel angel of the Old and New Testaments of the bible. The idea of spirit channeling is now well romanticized in popular culture. We believe we’re being watched over and guided by our long dead grandmothers and uncles. But this is actually a very dangerous attitude because the bible tells us that Lucifer can even appear as a beautiful angel. To support this, I will quote from the book, The Secret Teachings of All Ages, by Manly P. Hall, a freemason and theosophist who writes, “The majority of modern mediumistic apparitions are but elemental creatures masquerading through bodies composed of thought substance supplied by the very persons desiring to behold these wraiths of decarnate beings” (317). So the more progressed among these initiates understand that the spirits they commune with are actually treacherous. But again, in our culture, the naïve consider the idea of spirit guides to be a very special thing; and that vanity is used against them to their ultimate ruin. The authoritative bible tells us that the dead go either to heaven or to hell. There are no “good spirits” besides the Holy Spirit who guide the brethren of Jesus Christ. The bible outright discourages occult activity:

“When they say to you, ‘Consult the mediums and the spiritists who whisper and mutter,’ should not a people consult their God? Should they consult the dead on behalf of the living?” (Isaiah 8:19, New American Standard Bible).

And:

“As for the person who turns to mediums and to spiritists, to play the harlot after them, I will also set My face against that person and will cut him off from his people.” (Leviticus 20:6, New American Standard Bible)

And lastly, Jesus alludes to it:

“So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well” (Matthew 6:31-33, New International Version).

In the latter verse, Jesus encourages the faithful to trust God for their needs, discouraging them from being like the pagan (or in this case, the New Agers). In those times, the gentiles worshipped and made contact with false gods. In light of what I’ve just told the reader, it should be glaringly obvious that these pagan gods were none other than Lucifer himself play-acting the role of God.

The second step given by Alice Bailey in ‘The Plan’ is that “The new world order must be appropriate to a world which has passed through a destructive crisis and to a humanity which is badly shattered by the experience” (Bailey 190). They understand that to get people to buy into what they’re selling, they have to introduce it when the morale of people is at their lowest. It is then sensible to wonder if they will engineer an event for this purpose. Robert Muller is a student of Bailey and the former Secretary of the United Nations; he is quoted twice in the documentary, Aquarius: The Age of Evil (written and produced by Christian apologist and documentarian Keith Thompson [a.k.a. KeithTruth]). In the first quote, Muller states, “We must move as quickly as possible to a one-world government; a one-world religion; under a one-world leader” (Dwight L. Kinman, The World’s Last Dictator [Woodburn, Oregon: Solid Rock Book, Inc. 1995] p. 81). So it appears this plan is shaded with a zealous urgency. They’re not waiting for something awful to happen by chance. This should cause anyone to ponder carefully about the major catastrophes that have happened in the last decade alone. Mr. Muller might think to speed things up; they’re going to have to turn it into a contest or a game, as revealed from his second quote:

“I am surprised that no one as yet thought of creating a Pro-Earth, Humanity-challenging Organization which would put itself in the shoes of our Mother Earth and rejoice whenever humans diminish in numbers or consume less. It would give yearly prizes to people, events or institutions which achieve a reduction of the human population or of the consumption of Earth resources."

I have now shed light into the New Age Movement’s origin, true nature and how they are related to a one-world agenda. David Rockefeller was previously quoted as a laborer for it, and political luminaries such as George H.W. Bush, Henry Kissinger, Mikhail Gorbachev, and even Pope John Paul II and the current Pope Benedict XVI have publicly declared their endorsement. One only has to do a Google search to find this much. Some of the writers and speakers for the Movement are Deepak Chopra, Eckhart Tolle, Dr. Wayne Dyer, Peter Joseph, and Dr. Rev. Michael Beckwith, who is a leader in the New Thought Movement and one of the speakers in the 2006 self-help documentary, The Secret also based on the book. Constance Cumbey writes, “Comparing the Bailey teachings with the state of the Movement… it is clear that her instructions have been followed meticulously. Her disciples are now on the last stages of the New Age scheme to take the world for Lucifer” (50).

Preface

Last summer, I started a casual research into the occult presence in our society. At first, I found a lot of material that was groundless, even laughable. But I soon discovered documentaries that presented a more thorough and sober study on the subject- and the New Age Movement kept popping up. I was more than astonished. I was horrified! What I learned was not something that an aware and understanding person could rightly dismiss. It was a wake-up call like nothing I had experienced in my life. I threw away all of my New Age and related books, and I repented of my actions. I got serious about my faith and became a fundamentalist Christian.

What is the true nature and agenda of the New Age Movement?

The familiar rhetoric of New Age is self-esteem, brotherhood and world peace. But just underneath the facade is a plan for the development of a New World Order that would abolish the social, economic and religious structures of our time. To implement this new way of life, deception will be at the root. I will make an effort to briefly present documented fact about what the New Age Movement is: what they believe, their origin, their true nature and how it is connected to a New World Order agenda, and lastly how all of this relates to Christianity and world religions. I will cite scripture from the Holy Bible to demonstrate prophetic relevance to my findings. The spiritual element of this study is valid and undeniable; one should not dismiss it so readily. The Movement has been fostered by men and women who participate in sorcery and spirit worship, which is the antithesis of what Christianity is. So to withdraw from the biblical viewpoint is to rely on a blissful conceitedness. This attitude begets a near-sighted lethargy that enables the brazen. To illustrate this last statement, here is a brazen quote from David Rockefeller who shares a suspiciously similar view with the New Age Movement, in his book, Memoirs (405):

“Some even believe we [the Rockefeller family] are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as ‘internationalists’ and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global, political and economic structure- one world, if you will. If that’s the charge, I stand guilty, and I’m proud of it.”

Mr. Rockefeller clearly announces himself with no fear of recrimination. This should serve notice to any initial scoffing of how large in scope the New World Order agenda truly is.

What is the New Age Movement?

The New Age Movement is more than just a self-help category at your bookstore. They are a worldwide network. Constance Cumbey is a lawyer and a Christian activist who wrote a book called, The Hidden Dangers of the Rainbow in an effort to expose the Movement. She has researched over a hundred books on the subject. She writes of the Movement, “According to New Age sources… it consists of tens of thousands of cooperating organizations. Their primary goal of the secret behind their ‘unity-in-diversity’ is the formation of a ‘New World Order.’ The Movement usually operates on the basis of a well-formulated body of underlying esoteric or occult teachings” (Cumbey 54). The esoteric refers to an exclusive knowledge that is shared only with people who are considered worthy of receiving it. The occult relates to different ways of making contact with the supernatural. Paul Heelas wrote a scholarly and objective book called, The New Age Movement: the celebration of the self and the sacralization of Modernity. He describes the Movement as expanding, “… with the counter-culture of the later 1960’s and earlier 1970’s – when the New Age was known as ‘the Age of Aquarius’… Much is on offer, people being provided the opportunity to meditate, use crystals, heed channels, commune with nature, practise [sic] spiritual healing… become involved in covens…(etc). One’s initial impression is of an eclectic hotch-potch of beliefs, practices and ways of life… an exceedingly wide range of practices – Zen meditations, Wiccan rituals, enlightenment intensive seminars… shamanic activities… forms of positive thinking – fall under the rubric” (Heelas 1). The New Age Movement is not really a New Religious Movement, but such do exist within the overall umbrella network. The network “… encompasses a number of groups and sub-movements, such as: the Holistic Movement, Humanistic Psychology, Transpersonal Psychology, Humanistic Movement, New Thought… the New Spirituality, the Human Potential Movement, Secular Humanism, etc. ” (Cumbey 55).

The defining belief system of the New Age Movement is in Self spirituality: “The ‘individual’ serves as his or her own source of guidance” (Heelas 23). Hence, their most pervasive teaching is that we are all “…Gods and Goddesses in Exile” (Heelas 19). The explanation for this is that we’re weighted down by the muck of our social traditions and hang-ups, and because of that we don’t know our highest inner potential. But one must go beyond the hindrances of ‘ego’ or ‘lower self’ to reach perfection and experience the ‘Self’ which is defined as ‘God’. In short, the highest authority is you. Everyone is right. No one is wrong. This is a very wishy-washy, but popular way of life, even today, that plainly absolves an individual of moral responsibility. It’s also interesting to note that Lucifer encouraged Eve to adopt the same position in the garden:

“...and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil” (Satan -Genesis 3:5, King James Bible).

In becoming one’s own ultimate authority, New Agers prefer freedom from all traditions. This is sometimes contradicted by the fact that they do draw from different religions. They are Perennialists, and this suggests that they believe they are ever-lasting and ever-relevant. Heelas explains further, “…New Agers can ignore apparently significant differences between religious traditions, dismissing them… But they do have faith in that wisdom which is experienced as lying at the heart of the religious domain as a whole… what matters is the… ‘esoteric…’” (Heelas 27). Again, the esoteric conveys a secret type of knowledge and some of it is gleaned from different religious texts. There is a belief growing in popularity that all religions have hidden truths and that all roads lead to heaven. This is a dire contradiction to the infallible Word of God, which tells us that no man is saved by anything other than repentance of sins and an amiable surrender and belief in Jesus Christ.

“Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through me” (John 14:6, New American Standard Bible).
